We are very excited to announce that Perfectus Biomed are the winners of the 2020 Bionow Technical Service Award.

The night’s ‘virtual’ celebrations were hosted by Bionow, however we still indulged in the excuse to dress up and have a glass of fizz. A brilliant digital platform facilitated networking with our colleagues in the sector to celebrate the successes and achievements during this challenging year.

The judging panel were looking for demonstration of “an innovative solution to a particular problem encountered within the industry.” Innovation is one of our values and something that runs in our blood here at Perfectus Biomed, and with the fast-changing situation of COVID-19 at the beginning of March 2020, the virology team began testing to determine efficacy of products designed to prevent transmission of the coronavirus responsible for COVID-19. Anti-viral testing of hard-surface and skin sanitisers, face masks, PPE and fogging systems were tested establishing their potential to inactivate the virus allowing rapid introduction of reliable products to protect human health.

Our dedicated virology team also conceived a simple-to-use, rapid results, low-cost screening test kit to test for the presence of the virus, allowing business to act quickly, deep clean an area and declare if safe for use. One of our clients used this test to check an entire shipment (product, packaging and shipping container), returned to us for testing and continued with shipping to the Far East within their required 48hr window.

We would like to thank our amazing team for all their hard work and efforts and send our congratulations to all the nominees and winners at this year’s awards. Thank you to Bionow for putting on such an impressive online celebration, it really was a masterclass in online awards ceremonies and our gratitude also goes to Square One Law who sponsored the award category.
