Perfectus Biomed Group plan to attend the world leading IPS conference on infection prevention, (COVID 19 restrictions allowing). The conference will be held on the 27-29th September in Liverpool, UK. We are eager to get back to in person conferences and are excited to announce that we will be presenting a poster and exhibiting at this event. Contact us to arrange a meeting, or pop along to our booth (#67) in the conference hall to meet our team.
Our poster presentation is focused on Human Coronavirus 229E as a Surrogate for COVID-19. During the pandemic Perfectus Biomed Group worked closely with our clients to ensure disinfectants and healthcare products were fast tracked, and we continue to support our client’s product testing through our full range of sectors and services. At the beginning of the outbreak, we rapidly obtained surrogate virus for Human Coronavirus 229E, to allow us to support anti-viral product testing. In addition to product viral assessments, our virology team responded to the pandemic and developed a simple-to-use, rapid results, low-cost viral screening test kit. This kit allowed businesses to act quickly, deep clean an area and declare if safe for use.
The team also tested to determine efficacy of products designed to prevent transmission of the coronavirus responsible for COVID-19. Anti-viral testing was performed on hard-surfaces and skin sanitisers, face masks, PPE and fogging systems, allowing the rapid introduction of reliable products to protect human health.
