At Perfectus Biomed we are aware of the impact Coronavirus is having on businesses across the country. Whilst we continue to operate as usual following the government advice for protecting our staff (e.g social distancing, working from home) we have been keeping a close eye on funding opportunities available to help keep other UK businesses operating during the pandemic. A new scheme has been announced by the Department for International Trade (DIT) aimed at North West businesses exporting products across the globe.
The DIT have announced regional support schemes that are available to Covid-19 affected businesses in the North West. Financial help is available and a support line to discuss options has been put in place.
Support available to those affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) include:
- Business loans, tax relief and cash grants
- Employers can apply for staff to receive up to 80% of their pay if they cannot work due to COVID 19 related circumstances, e.g.: Furloughed staff
- Self-employed workers affected by COVID 19 are eligible to receive up to £2,500 per month in grants for at least 3 months
